I own a DW Collectors series kit that I had custom ordered, in the following sizes:

  • 22" x 18" Bass Drum
  • 10" x 9", 12" x 10" , 14" x 12" and 16" x 16" toms
  • 14" x 5" 10+6 snare.

Color is Royal Blue with Mirra.

I also use a Tama Superstar kit (the old, high-end version) from 1984, in sizes as follows:

  • 22" x 16" Bass Drum
  • 12" x 11", 13" x 12", 16" x 16" toms.

Color is Cherry Wine.

All toms in both sets feature Purecussion RIMS mounts. I own a variety of snares, but the one that surfaces up more often is a maple 5" Tama Artwood from 1991.

I also own a Roland V-Drums set.

As for cymbals, I take my pick according to the job at hand from a collection of Paistes, which includes Signatures, Rudes, 2002s, and 602s.

Heads: Remo throughout. All toms get clear Emperors on top and clear ambassadors on resonant side. Bass drums sport a Powerstroke 3 clear (sometimes Powerstroke 4) on the batter and a Powerstroke 3 on the resonant side. Snares always get an Ambassador clear on the snare side, and that is the only constant. The batter may be anything from an Ambassador to an Emperor X.

Sticks: Various Vater models, Pro-Mark Thunder Rods, Vic Firth Jazz Brushes.

Lots of percussion goodies (ribbon crashers, blocks, cowbells, old splash cymbals on top of drums) can be found in my setups depending on the gig.

big setup

This is my "big" setup. I have played with that drum configuration in all the tours I did with T. Papaconstantinou, including the tour with him and Dionyssis Savvopoulos. The only exception was the spring tour of 2005, where i used a cocktail drum kit.

Every studio dates' kit varies according to the artist, but in general, I stick with the "one rack - left floor - right floor" configuration.

Finally, here is my "jungle" setup:
